May 7th, 125 corvettes streamed into the Tippecanoe Amphitheater in West Lafayette to show support for our veterans.
Over $11,000 and several carts of supplies were donated to the Indiana Veteran's Home. We had two successful raffles, funds from the patriotic quilt were donated to IVH and funds from the framed stained glass panel benefited Mary T. Klinker, a local veteran's group. New and previously attending clubs joined in, drivers from the visiting corvette clubs were given a commemorative 10th anniversary hat pin. A parking lot lunch was enjoyed, friendships renewed over mutual interests of corvettes and patriotism. Residents of the Veteran's Home celebrated with a cookout. Then corvettes caravanned and reassembled at the IVH.
A special thank you to our event sponsor, Christi Hubler Chevrolet in Crawfordsville.
Thank you to those that shared their pictures. More photos are on our Flickr site. Click Here.
Sheila presented a certificate recognizing Curt & Annette Williams for bringing the idea of Vettes for Vets to Lafayette ten years ago and being the event’s first organizers.
In addition to the many regional Corvette clubs participation and help, we are fortunate to have a sponsor dedicated to the "Vettes for Vets" and helping our veterans.
Check out this great group of corvettes
